The SNP Government are still stalling over the much-needed school building programme. Liberal Democrat candidate David Jackson has slammed the SNP for their total failure to provide finance for the local schools - to replace the huts at Garrowhill Primary School and to refurbish both Garrowhill and St. Bridget's. There is now at least a TWO YEAR delay caused by the SNP Government having halted the building programme.

David Jackson said: "The new school buildings are badly needed. 300 new schools were built or refurbished over the last 4 years when Liberal Democrats were in Government. Now it is all stopping while the SNP dither about the funding method. Getting on with the schools programme would also help secure local building jobs currently under threat."
